The Lanzarote Collection explores some of the eponymous island’s features such as its architecture. Most of the houses’ architecture have been influenced by its climate. The houses are white to reflect the sun’s rays and prevent the temperature inside from increasing too much. Lanzarote is host to many architectural interventions from island-born artist César Manrique, including the now Fundación César Manrique. The island is also home to many types of cacti and succulent plants perfectly illustrated by the Jardín de Cactus - architectural complex created by Manrique. Learn more.
